PARASITE
In early 2010 I was contacted by a local filmmaker to do a few effects for a short teaser project that he was working on. A different effects artist started the project but he had to bow out as his "day job" workload become to much. My job was to create 19 shots of bugs swarms chasing people down a street and eventually catching up with them in a deserted cabin
The 3D model of the bug had already been built, but it still needed to be detailed and painted. Once that was done, I rigged it, and started doing some animation tests…. A lot of the shots needed pretty crazy tracking and because no markers were used on set I spent many nights just doing them by hand. It was a fun project in the sense that I got to try something I had never tried before, and it was a horrible project in the sense that had to do something I had never tried before.
Parasite wrapped up a little while ago and is being submitted to all of the film festivals.
